Miley Cyrus is about to take a page out of Mandy Moore’s book.

The Hannah Montana star, 15, is set to star in an untitled Disney film based on an upcoming novel by author Nicholas Sparks, Variety reports.

The idea for the film came out of a meeting where Cyrus used Moore’s A Walk to Remember – a film adaptation of Sparks’ 1999 novel – as a model of the type of project she hoped to work on next.

Sparks is writing the book and the screenplay simultaneously. Cyrus’s mother, Tish, will serve as the film’s executive producer.

Cyrus will not sing in the drama, whose plot is a secret for now.

Miley Cyrus has been spotted several times with a 20 year old underwear model named Jason Gaston. The two were photographed together recently and rumours flew that the two were an item and that Miley had finally moved on from her Jonas Brother ex.

One of Miley’s friends from Nashville, which is where Gaston is from, has confirmed that the two have been spending an awful lot of time together. But Miley’s publicist and Justin’s rep both say he’s just a friend who’s visiting LA for the week. The both met on the set of her dad’s show Nashville Star.

He’s “just a friend,” she say’s as she laughs it off. I guess only time will tell if these two are secretly dating underwraps.

Hanging out on  the red carpet at MTV’s Video Music Awards, Katy Perry playfully kissed Miley Cyrus on the cheek. Making good on her “I kissed A Girl” smash hit the duet playfully exchanged cheek kisses while making an appearance at the awards.

Some little idiots used Digg and Wikipedia to spread the lie that teen actress Miley Cyrus had died in a car accident last night caused by “an unidentified black man”—and Yahoo News picked up the story. The hoax was short-lived, thank God. By this morning, it was hard to tell who, if anyone—aside from Yahoo—actually fell for it. One of the only mentions of it as anything but a scam seems to be this retarded Digg entry. So did anyone else actually buy it?

“This report is a hoax planted by cruel pranksters on Digg.com and the ever reliable Wikipedia.com. Miley Cyrus is very much alive. As per the report, Miley Cyrus died in a fatal car crash on the way to the set of Hannah Montana. The report goes on to state that the young starlet was on her way to the filming of the upcoming ‘Hannah Montana’ Series when her vehicle was reportedly hit by a large truck, according to internet reports.”

Miley Cyrus is NOT dead. There was no accident.

Miley Cyrus doesn’t turn 16 until November, but she’s reportedly already spent $75,000 on a fully loaded white convertible Mercedes Benz. Cha-ching!

A source close to Miley said: “Miley wanted special options like parking assist and a cream-colored leather interior, so she ordered the car early. She is telling everyone that she hopes to get a car when she turns 16, so when it comes, she can say it was a surprise from her parents.”

Miley’s on the fast track to becoming one of the youngest self made billionaires in American history, so a $75K car is basically chump change for her.
